regarding the Susan G. Komen organization's flip flop on funding for abortion
provider and promoter Planned Parenthood: "While
we regret that donor dollars will continue to be funneled to an organization
that sells more abortions than anyone else, pro-life advocates should take
confidence in the fact that now the broad majority of Americans realize the
Komen connection with the world's foremost abortion provider and
promoter," said Brian Harris, president of Tennessee Right to Life. Pressure, Susan G. Komen Announces Hold on Grants to Planned Parenthood (Tuesday, January 31, 2012) Representing a significant victory for pro-life advocates, officials of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure announced on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 the organization's decision to stop contributions to Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest promoter and performer of abortion. The action comes as a Congressional committee continues its investigation into Planned Parenthood's possible misuse of federal funding and potential violation of federal restrictions on the funding of abortions.
